I just migrated to a newer linux and discovered that the disassembly is broken
for just about every gdb front end around.

Syntax error near <hex address>

This is caused by a change in the syntax in gdb itself. Uninstall the newer
gdb and install an older one and the problem goes away.

Not sure how this happened but they should probably have allowed both syntaxes
until everyone got caught up to speed. The exact problem is that they now
require a comma where they used to allow (require) a space and the front ends
still use the space to communicate with the debugger.

Anyway, the fix is fairly easy. In my own case I just installed the suse 10.0
gdb in my suse 11.3 linux and everyone's happy again.

I think. ;-)

Again, this is NOT an fltk bug. It's a problem that MIGHT effect the
development on the linux side, however.

Best wishes to all...
