Fixed in Subversion repository.

Thanks for the report. This was a hangover from FLTK 1.1 (not yet fully
ported to UTF-8 characters).

Please confirm, whether svn r 9196 fixes the problem for you.

I tested it successfully with different character strings, including '€'
(3 bytes in UTF-8) and your Swedish examples (2 bytes each), and also with
invalid UTF-8 characters (sequences), e.g. \x80 = € (Windows CP 1252).
