I believe we should wait for jpeg and zlib test harmonization: as I said before I proposed the new png detection code, as soon it is fixed, we should apply the same modifications to jpeg and zlib, so that we make sure we also check automatically the header availibility before using the system libs. This should be much simpler to do with jpeg and zlib. This is important also because if you compare the sources, it really is a piece of cake to maintain png configure source code now, compared to old code, so we should normalize this asap IMHO. Fabien
