I meant the member variables, not the methods. If I were to make my own clear 
method I would need to reach e.g. the children_ member variable, that would be 
hard if it's private. It isn't stated explicitly if the variables are public, 
protected or private, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that means that 
they are private?

Anyway, I'm testing Albrechts optimization right now, and hoping for a solution 
where I don't have to derive from anything.
