Yes, we understand that this is a real problem. We do plan to release an FLTK3 not too far from now. The decission has not been made yet if this will be 1.3, jumping the FLTK2 release and making FLTK2 obsolete alltogether, or if we will bite the bullet and make FLTK3 compatible to 1 and 2. I am currently testing possible implementations.
