Most of the articles in the original thread have generated quite a
lot of [constructive] heat, but little light so far. Rather than an
endless discussion, I would ask everyone to take a couple of days to
experiment with the tool of their choice, which must be cross-platform
and open source, to discover the tool options that will result in the
"closest" approximation to the existing FLTK source code layout. For
some hand-waving definition of "closest".

The starting point is K&R style (sort of), tab space is 8 characters,
and each indent level is 2 spaces.

Please provide the appropriate annotated options for the relevant config
file. The winning config, if there is one, would be provided alongside
the possibly amended CMP / Coding Standards.
