Someone should probably look at all the window manager standards on these pages: http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/1.3/ar01s05.html http://standards.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/wm-spec-1.3.html ..and make sure FLTK makes use of them.
(I'm exhausted, otherwise I'd make an STR) These are the 1.3 standards (finalized May 2005).
