Also: added rules to the documentation/Makefile that allows it
to automatically create the EPS files using ImageMagick's convert(1)
if they don't exist.
So if you have ImageMagick on your machine, try removing
documenation/src/*.eps,
and then run 'make pdf-dist' in the documentation dir.. it should
re-create them
all (showing a number of "Creating eps for xxx.gif" messages), before
going on
to build the pdf file.
Checked that change in separately as r7958.
