What's fast and what's light ?
Sometimes is dificulty to differentiate then !

In another software library that I don't remember right now, they had a
commom memory allocated space called "scrathpad" that can be used only for
temporary work inside a function call (no other function calls of the same
library can be made while it's in use, because those functions can use it
too and overwrite it), this way there is no need to do
allocations/deallocations only for temporary work, the pattern used here
in Fl_Tabs is a case where this solution could be used.
