Only parts deep in the Mac-specific code are changed, so there's no change in the API nor in the ABI. Thus this can be postponed to 1.3.1. Nevertheless, I have thoroughly tested changes under 1.6 and 1.3 so I expect the code to run well under other OS X versions as well, and it would be good to launch 1.3 with a better Mac OS X code, if it can be tested properly before release.
