-1 on this proposal, because we would lose the functionality of the STR system if we encourage users to post bugs directly to fltk.bugs. We would have to explain why their posts got lost. ;-) The advantage of forcing people to post to the STR pages is that all posts are archived in the correct order. In the mailing list or news reader, threads are not always ordered correctly (this has obviously to do with *how* someone posts a message and through which interface (mail, news, web)). Of course, the newsgroup or mailing list is important and should be kept as well.
