Personally it is no question to me, that the success of FLTK in the future
will depend on greatly, if not only the drawing, but also the window creation,
getting mouse events and so on will be abstracted into a system class thing.

Why ?

The reason is SDL 1.3. The main developers and many GSoC students, have brought
it all the necessary stuff like a touch/gesture interface, Android and iPhone
support,
Multi Window, Multi Mouse and much more, GDI, D9D, D10D, OpenGL, OpenGL ES ....

There may be small problems with one or another stuff, but basically the
support is there.

The creator and main developer Sam Lantinga has quit his job at Blizzard and
is now working, fulltime, i think on SDL. The Android support for example has
greatly improved in the last days.

So if there is a MUST TO DO for FLTK 1.4, to me it would be SDL 1.3 support,
best as a SYSTEM class
thing that abstracts everything, window creation, getting events and so on.
