It's just a fact of life that most people will wait until a release to
do their testing, and that's when the bugs will start coming in.  In
fact, isn't that the point of an RC?  It's enough a release to get
people to think a release is imminent and they should really test
their stuff, but not such a release that their are announcements and
major version bumps and ABI freezes and all the other stuff that gets
awkward when bugs suddenly show up.

So I say it's just the RCs doing their job, and go ahead and put out
RC7 (either now or in a week), until the bug reports settle.  Then 1.3
comes out and you can bet a bunch of new bug reports will suddenly
come in then.

So I think this is pretty normal, maintain your sanity and keep up the
good work :)
