I don't know - the OP says that it is OSX specific, and that it seems to be related to the mechanism for rendering text in GL scenes in OSX in fltk-1.3. IIRC, you (Manolo) did some mechanism that renders the text (in the selected font) into a GL texture then blats that onto the scene. I think this mechanism may be unique to the fltk-1.3 case in OSX? (Aside: Though I note that fltk2 seems to do something similar under X11-GL, and 1.3 X11 *should* donthis too but does not [font handling and utf8 under GL on fltk-1.3 mostly will not work AFAICT]. And it appears that w32 wgl_methods exist to handle the strings in GL so this workaround is not needed there.) The OP suggests that it is this texture manipulation that is triggering the bug - which is why I thought we should take a look... But I don't understand that code well enough to know what it is doing or why it might be going awry with its texture handling... Anybody? Mike's good at the GL stuff...!
