Hmm, what patch?
Was this a patch posted as an STR or forum?
1) I searched our STRs for fltk-config, found a bunch of STRs,
and some with patches, but none for this issue I don't think.
2) I searched the forums for @debian.org, and found Aaron Ucko
has made several posts from 2004 ~ 2010. Not finding a patch
related to fltk-config though.. maybe I'm missing it.
I did see a link to a patch from Aaron posted on fltk.dev
on 07/08/2009 (subject: FLTK 1.1.10 - release planning)
but the link is stale:

..so couldn't check that.
There is also a reference to STR #2224 that is build related
(xft), but no patch/probably unrelated:

Debugging dynamic linking isn't my specialty anyway; just
doing prelim investigation. I figure Mike/Matt/Albrecht are
our resident experts on fltk-config.
