Hello All, I have a few questions relating to printing support.
I have been working with FLTK2 for some months now and I really like it. It absolutely blows away all other contenders. I sincerely wish that there were a little more progress on the release. However, I know there are probably good reasons for this and I'm NOT complaining. We desperately need printing support in FLTK2. I struggle to think of any business application that wouldn't require it. Therefore, I would like to investigate how to get this feature added. I'm not opposed to trying it myself, but I really don't think I am the right person for the job. This is particularly true if it were to be included in the FLTK2 release. This brings me to the following questions. 1. Is printing support a priority? 2. If so, where does it stand in relation to other work items? 3. Which core team developer would be the best candidate for the job? 4. Would this developer be willing to assist someone else? 5. Would a modest financial contribution make a difference? 6. Does anyone have even a rough idea of a design? 7. Would someone familiar with the code in Fluid 1.x be willing to jump start the effort by moving that code to FLTK2? Don't get me wrong. I appreciate all of the good work that has been done on FLTK/FLTK2. I'm just trying to figure out how I can help to move it forward. The addition of printing support would really break things loose for us. It would let our dev team use FLTK2 exclusively. This would undoubtedly generate a fair amount of new widgets and most definitely a lot of testing. I would appreciate any and all thoughts or comments on this matter.
