Dear FLTK users and developers, it is great to see so much going on with FLTK atm. UTF-8 seems to be coming along great! New contributions to 2.0 are flying in almost daily. Bill's new employer seems to overhaul the Mac port of FLTK2 from scratch, and 1.1.8 is waiting to be released, merely held back by the fact that I am very busy (and so is Mike).
I wanted to let you all know that I still read all mail every day and try to answer whatever I can in a few sentences, but I currently have no time to give greater support. Things will calm down by the middle of July for me, and with the help of Mike we will hopefully put the long awaited lid on 1.1.8 and create an official bridging 1.2 to get utf8 going for those who can't change over to 2.0 just yet. And if FLTK 2 gets the perfect Mac backend, I promise that I will do whatever I can to make a smooth transition from FLTK 1.2 to FLTK 2.0 possible for everyone. And then I will finally get the EFLDC going (European Fast Light Developers Conference, Pronounced Effeldec :-P ). Thanks to all our users. Please let us know what your projects are. We would like to feature some of those that make the best use of the library. It doesn't matter if they are research, public domain, or commercial. Please submit your projects to the "links" section.
