What colour depth is your microwindows server running at? That might be significant - if the server isn't "truecolour", say 256 colour indexed, then fltk will be trying to match the colours against the indexed colour map, and/or setup private colour maps for its apps... Now, it generally does a good job of that on "real" X-servers, but maybe there are issues with that on microwindows?
