Stan, Manoj - what platforms are each of you using?

I'm assuming Stan's example works OK for him on whatever platform he's
on, but I just tried it on this WinXP box and the effect I see is as
follows:

- Program runs - window can be resized.
- Click "Stop" button. Window can not be resized.
- Click "Resume" button. Window still OK.
- Attempt to resize window - window collapses to zero size and can not
be resized anymore...

So - that looks a lot like the effect Manoj reports.

I wonder if it is a win32 specific feature (need to try some other
platforms...)?
