Hi everyone,

I found FLTK quite recently and have been trying to use it, but I'm having some
problems when building the 2.0.x libs using Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. I
can build the libs using the projects in the vcnet and visualc folders, but if
I compile one of the test projects, or one of my own programs, I get an
"Unhandled Exception" error when running it from the IDE, and if I run it
outside the IDE it crashes on startup. Some test projects like navigation,
checkers and glpuzzle seem to work, but the last two crash when the right mouse
button is pressed.

I searched the FLTK forums and found that a similar problem with the test
projects has been reported
(http://www.fltk.org/newsgroups.php?s1+gfltk.bugs+v1+T0+Q2008). I tried
building the FLTK libs using VC++ 2005, then compiled the programs with VC++
2008 using those libs and everything runs okay.

Does anyone know why this problem occurs with VC++ 2008, or if there is a way
to solve it? Also, I noticed in the project properties for the test projects
that, under "Code Generation", the "Runtime Library" is set to "Multi-Threaded
(/MT)", but I have seen some tutorials say it should be set to "Multi-Threaded
DLL (/MTd)". Which is the correct option, or does it not really matter so long
as the libs and the programs are built using the same settings?

Thanks for any help!
Dave.
