If you call a resize function of a group, all children will be resized
relative to the group and to the "resizable" widget. Look in the
articles section of the fltk web site for "how resizing works"

Well, if you resize the main widget first and then resize the
children, the resizing effort of the groups is overriden. You can also
set the "resizable" of the group to NULL, and the group will not
resize any children.

There is also "init_sizes" which you already found. init_sizes fixes
the current relation of children to each other, so that continually
resizing will not introuce a rounding error and all children will
remain in the same relation. If you maually resize a child, the
"initial sizes" array does not know about that and a subsequent
resizing of the group will make the child snap back into the old
relationship. init_sizes after a child resize will avoid this.
