Now that we know that FLTK is on life support (see the Trolltech thread), I feel that it is time to revive the wonderful code base that we have.
Here is what I will do to get 1.1.8 out of the door and wrap up 1.1 for good as a virtually bug-free, super fast and extremely light GUI toolkit: I offer a bounty (200 Euros in total!) for the successful fix of any of the bugs in the bug list as it is right now. I will pay the bounty out of my own private pocket, purely as an enticement to wrap this up. Rules are at the bottom of this mail. Bounty Bug ID Bug Summary 40 EUR 1747 Fl_Double_Window does not grab() when another is present 40 EUR 1856 fl_draw_pixmap does not work with Quartz under MacOS X 10.5 30 EUR 1716 Bad background blending for rgba images 30 EUR 1859 Fluid callbacks in declaration blocks not working correctly 20 EUR 1719 FL_WHEN_NOT_CHANGED implemented inconsistently 10 EUR 1795 FLTK 1.1.7 missing GNOME icon for Linux 10 EUR 1849 hidden subwindows receive events 10 EUR 1868 horizontal scrollbar always present Rules: Anyone can participate. All fixes must conform to existing FLTK code and coding rules. All fixes will become part of the existing FLTK license. Only fixes that solve the issue entirely and need no further fixing after rc1 is released will receive their bounty. If multiple fixes of equal quality for the same bug are received, the firts fix will earn the bounty. Bug fixes should be sent in as patch files with a short documentation on what they do and how they do it. All patches must be sent before or on February 24th 2008. I reserve the right to merge multiple fixes for the same bug and split the bounty accordingly. Bounties within the EU are paid by money transfer to your account or via PayPal. Bounties outside of the EU are paid via PayPal only. Since this is non-commercial, I will not be able to write any receits etc. - you are solely responsible for all dues and taxes that your country may impose on these kinds of transfers. Or to make it short: let's all be good sports about this and have fun ;-) Happy hacking!
