There were a bunch of worthy contributions to RC2 in the last week. Originally I was planning to move all of them up to 1.3, but since 1.1.8 is the very last in the 1.1 series and will likely live on Linux distros for the next three years to come, I decided to add these improvements in RC3 on Sunday or Monday.
Please note though: once I drop RC3, I will not accept *any* more patches unless they fix an ultra urgen crash bug problem. I really would like to go for RC3 to final. So, if your feel that there is still something out there that absolutely *must* go into RC3, today is the day to contribute. Thanks everyone for the great support. 1.1.8 is really a big step ahead of 1.1.7 and a very worthy final release.
