The text is really only referring to scroll widgets, I'm afraid. Valuators don't in general intercept scroll wheel events, in fltk. Perhaps they should? If you think they should, file an STR (or better a patch) and it may happen. In the meantime, you can add that ability pretty easily, although you'll need to subclass your valuator widgets (which you are doing anyway I think) and add additional cases to the handle method to interpret the wheel events. Time permitting (i.e. if I manage to squeeze in a coffee break, which isn't looking likely right now!) then I'll post a simple worked example...
