I've fiddled around with a tweaked set_xid(Fl_Window* win, Window xid), which is actually not defined for MS Windows. That way, I tried to make my Fl_Window replace the host-provided parent, instead of making it a child of the host window. Still to no avail... I got two windows now, the host window containing the controls and the Fl_Window blank, both receiving no updates.
