This said, what was also discussed was to sum it: how far we would go in that case. I was suggesting, at least for a start ; to provide only a simple Fl_Cairo_Window that would create the underlying cairo surface transparently and would permit to include this window as a subwindow in a classic non cairo fltk interface to get best of both world at almost no cost in terms of development time.
