dont wanna be ignorant by answering myself, there are two answers already...but, i have an excuse! i have found another difference: the one that was assumed to "misbehave" is being deactivated in between "down-key" events. that may explain its unexpected behaviour? the time is really just some microseconds, so i didnt even notice it, but it may take up to like 2 seconds (depending on wether the user has disk caching enabled, i had it enabled)...bla foo :p aaaah, deactivated widgets automatically lose focus!? i need to change things then. np :) what widget will generally get focus in the case the active widget is being deactivated? in my case its the first widget in my fluid list. coincidence? ty, jan _______________________________________________ fltk mailing list [email protected] http://lists.easysw.com/mailman/listinfo/fltk
