Matthias, is there any chance you can take a look at the patch I'm proposing for this, in STR #2098, please? It works for mw, but I can't test the 10.5.x cases properly. Fabien says it works for him, but since the original UCKeyTranslate() stuff was your baby, I'd be grateful if you could check it over.
