> What X lib do you use on embedded system? Last time I did this, we used Xfree86. Worked OK. I would probably opt for Xorg these days, but you do not like that option, I guess. There are a lot of things you can configure in Xorg (or XF86 for that matter) at the time of building the server to limit its memory footprint or otherwise tailor it for an embedded device, but you need to go elsewhere to find out about that, it would be way off-topic for this list.

There is a port of fltk for NanoX, but it is produced and supported elsewhere, so we can not help you with that. Code generally needs a fair bit of tweaking to work with NanoX, so I don't think a regular fltk tarball will work without modifications. I may be wrong, so you could just give it a try, see how you get on. There's a fair chance that Kdrive or TinyX might Just Work, so you could try them, see how you get on. I don't have any recent experience with these though, so can not say how well they work nowadays. -- Ian SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems Limited Registered Office: Sigma House, Christopher Martin Road, Basildon, Essex SS14 3EL A company registered in England & Wales.
