Sounds like you do not have Cairo installed. You can only build fltk with Cairo support enabled, if you already have Cairo installed and fully working. Installing Cairo can be a pain - but searching on their site and on the web will find you the necessary clues, I am sure. If you do not *need* Cairo in your fltk build, I would strongly suggest that you build without it...
