Ctrl-J has always worked for me.
Not intuitive, I know..
I believe the current behavior is intended, so that one
can type '\' and get '\' in their label, and to not have to
worry about typing '\\' to get '\'.
It's debatable this is a little too 'user friendly'..
I'd suggest hashing this out in fltk.general before reporting
as a bug.
