Do you actually have a need for X11+win32 support? If so, then using
fltk-1.3 (as Albrecht reports) is probably your best bet, as we know
that works under cygwin for sure (and possibly under mingw I guess.)

Otherwise (if you do not need X11+win32) the native port is a safer
option.
