The only way that you are going to know whether it works with your
application is to try it and see. If it doesn't work, then your are
out of luck because the 1.1.x series has been frozen and there will
be no further development. All development is focussed on FLTK-1.3.x.
Even if 1.1.7 does appear to work, why tie yourself to such old code?

I found the release announcement for FLTK-1.1.7 which shows it was
released 4 years ago: http://www.fltk.org/articles.php?L564
That's a long time in internet years

Then there were a lot of improvements and bug fixes in 1.1.8 of 2008:
http://www.fltk.org/articles.php?L801

and there have been further bug fixes in 1.1.9 and 1.1.10:
http://www.fltk.org/articles.php?L820
http://www.fltk.org/articles.php?L961

Maybe this is the time to take the effort to "port" your application
to the stable FLTK-1.1.10 with all of its improvements and bug-fixes,
or maybe even consider whether the 1.3.x development branch might
benefit you with its support for UTF-8, new File Chooser, Table and
Tree widgets, and internal changes to remove various limitations.

Cheers
D.
