Hmm, not really for me. There are no Cygwin specific files in the makefiles directory, it's only OS/2 and MinGW. So it's probably more a question for you, Ian? I checked the _different_ variants of MinGW files and compared them with my MinGW/MSYS versions, and I must say that there are too many variants to be able to create MinGW Makefiles for direct use for MinGW users. We should better rely on the users installing MSYS as described by Ian in his article and remove the "hand-written" config files in makefiles/*. What we would need is to update the corresponding documentation, but IMHO this is a minor problem.
