G'day All, Thanks to all that replied to this uuid library issue. Most helpful. I will send this to the Cygwin mailing list. I'll also have a play with the uuid library paths in my Makefile to see if I can get it going again. Failing that I'll just use the MinGW/MSYS method. I only recently started using the native MinGW gcc because I have apps using Qt-4.6 and this uses the gcc 4.4.0 compiler and as you all mentioned the Cygwin gcc 4.4.0 compiler does not support MinGW any more.
