        It might be a mime type config thing.

        I forget how this works in MS windows, but most OSs use
        the concept of mime-types to determine how to handle a file.

        There's usually a giant mime-type list "somewhere" for file types
        including file extensions, and replace the existing one with fluid
instead.

        Since it's Windows, perhaps it's in the 'registry', garbage bin of
        all behind the scenes things. I just ran 'regedt32' from a DOS window,
        and went into the "CLASSES_ROOT" section, and there's a gazillion
        filename extensions in there. If you find one for '.fl', that might
        be the cause of the problem. What to do from there I have no idea;
        deleting the existing .fl would be my first inclination, but noodling
        around with the registry can cause a total system fubar if you're not
careful.

        But hey, what's the point of the registry if everyone's too afraid to
use it? ;)
