Yes, I agree. I wasn't suggesting that this could not happen - only pointing out that having blocking operations in a callback was a Very Bad Thing. The alternate example I posted shows that the activate/deactivate does work correctly, if the event queue is not blocked in the meantime, and that was the point I was making. I think we are pretty much saying the same thing, actually, but just coming at it from different angles! Anyway; bit of a slow day here - we've all got the day off work over here, for That Wedding - urgh. A friend came back from a job in the USA last week and says you are "all" (I say "all" but I guess that's may be a slight exaggeration) much more into that than we are...
