Different enough to be a problem; though, that said, it may be worth a go!

Many things in fltk3 work in the same way as fltk2 (parent relative widget
co-ords can be used for example) but other things are different.

There's a compatibility layer for fltk-1 which I have used to rebuild fairly
substantial chunks of fltk-1.3 code under fltk3 (though there are still
problems, I had issues embedding Fl_Gl_Window widgets, they rendering co-ords
were screwed up in some way so that the GL window rendered offset from the
expected window position...)

However, the fltk-2 compatibility layer is much less complete. On the other
hand, no one is really working much on fltk-2 now, fltk-3 is "the future" so
actually porting your code may be a useful way forward and might not be that
tricky in practice (don't know, have not tried...)
