The remaining few elements of fluent nhibernate that are unrelated to configuration and mapping don't really get a whole lot of love from any of the regular commiters. It does not surprise me that you found the provided IRepository interface to be insufficient. The fact that we provide one at all actually makes me somewhat uncomfortable.
