Version 0.7.4 of RSF is now released and is available in both CARET and Sakai Maven 2 repositories. This is primarily a rollup of a few fixes from 0.7.3 and should raise no issues for user code. All users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to this version of RSF.
The issues resolved here are mainly of interest to users of Sakai - in particular a popular feature request has been http://www.caret.cam.ac.uk/jira/browse/RSF-68 which involves overriding the default RSF "level 1" error behaviour of silently redirecting to a default view, and instead escalating these errors to the portal error handler. Whilst this issue was given an initial resolution for RSF 0.7.3, this caused a poor interaction with the AJAX cycle operated by the RSF date widget, http://www.caret.cam.ac.uk/jira/browse/RSF-122 as well as being cumbersome for developers to put into effect. In 0.7.4 as well as fixing this implementation, "portal error escalation" has been made much easier to configure by supplying two dedicated Spring contexts - please consult the writeup in http://www.caret.cam.ac.uk/jira/browse/RSF-68 for details. A full list of the issues resolved for RSF 0.7.4 can be found at http://www.caret.cam.ac.uk/jira/browse/RSF/fixforversion/10206 Please consult the 0.7.3 release announcement for general details of roadmap and status. http://www.nabble.com/RSF-version-0.7.3-released!-td18699698.html Cheers, Antranig. _______________________________________________ fluid-work mailing list [email protected] http://fluidproject.org/mailman/listinfo/fluid-work
