Over the past couple of months, the design team has been developing a
some guidelines for the creation of design patterns. We have put
together a wiki page with the somewhat presumptuous title:

We've had several rounds of editing on our draft, and now want to put it
out for general comments and feedback. Please let us know what you
think. We'd particularly like comments on the usefulness to aspiring
pattern authors.
