I agree, that skipping a release seems like the right thing to do so we have some focused time to move components forward.

Skipping a release seems very sane. I too feel like we rushed the last two releases (for good reasons).

Hey,

Thanks for putting this together, Michelle. It's a pretty tight timeline, given the ambitious features we have on deck for Infusion 0.8:

We have two choices:

1. Cut back the deliverables to ones we can accomplish in 3 days (largely more bug fixes, I imagine)
2. Skip this small release and move forward on a February release

Since February is a short month anyway, and we've just wrapped up a pretty solid maintenance release with Infusion 0.7, I'm leaning towards the latter.

Thoughts?

Currently we are planning to release 0.8 at the end of the month. I've put together a time line below. Does this seem reasonable? It's very tight but given the time it takes to release I don't think we can do anything else except push out the release date.

*  Bug Parade: Friday, Jan. 23, 2009
* Code Freeze: Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009
* Wiki Freeze: Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009
* Release Day: Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009
