Hi Jess,
As a relative newcomer to the project, I like the way you've named these
so that I can get a sense of the relationships between fluid and various
projects/products. This naming system works for me, but as a newby I'm
not sure how it relates to "reality" and would like to hear feedback
from the people who've been on the project for longer. For now I'm going
to make sure that the dev website uses these names.

Folks,
In clarifying the organization of things for the website refresh we
have fallen squarely into the realm of naming. The descriptions below
are pithy at best, but I'm focusing on the Fluid xxxx names and am
wondering if anyone has feedback on the naming:
Fluid -- the community
PRODUCTS:
Fluid Infusion -- the bundle of code goodness
Fluid Design Handbook -- the bundle of design how-tos and guidelines
Fluid OSDPL -- the design pattern library
VU Lab -- the virtual usability app
PROJECTS:
principle investigator
Fluid Project -- the 2007-2009 effort that focused largely on web apps
in higher-ed
Fluid Engage -- the project we hope to start in April largely focused
on the various means of distribution used by museums and cultural
institutions
Decapod -- the digitization project with DFKI
The Fluid xxxx names are the ones I'm focusing on here. Do these fit
others' sense of how we should represent our projects and our products?
I will send along more website info architecture as soon as we have a
little something to show. Getting settled on the naming will help.
Best,
Jess
