+1 for Renderer.

Good question. We really don't know yet. To get started quickly on Engage, we'll leverage the existing Infusion tools extensively, including the (client-side) Renderer. If we encounter major performance or battery constraints when most of our presentation code is running in the browser, we'll consider the possibility of writing a Ruby or PHP version of the Renderer. It's a big investment, so we're not going to rush into unless we know we need it.
