Hi,

As you know, the bug parade emails that Justin and Jess have been sending out are hand built and manually maintained. This is a tedious task and it also means that the JIRA filters need to be separately maintained or the emails and JIRA get out of sync. Given that we now have two products that we will be releasing fairly often I think it is time to take a look at automating more of the release organization process.

My thought is that we could use the JIRA XML feed and Infusion to build a component that would generate a page with the type of information that the bug parade emails have. Then the person running the bug parade could merely point to that page in their email and it would always be up to date with JIRA. This will have the added benefit that developers would communicate the status of bug parade issues using JIRA.

Joan, I think this would be a good piece of work for you to dig into since it would let you learn Infusion and the framework.

Let's meet on Tuesday 10am Eastern/ 4pm CEST to talk more about it. Let me know if that time doesn't work for you.

Michelle
