Hi Colin,
Turns out that, indeed, lucene was not configured properly on the
production server. Yura pointed me at couchdb's local.ini setting with
customizations, and after a little tinkering and path rewriting, I'm
happy to say that 0.3b1-TSR (the slow release) is running nicely now.
Nice find, and praise be to Yura for the configuration help :)
Compaction script is forthcoming as we discussed.
