I have attached fixes to the two issues which we considered might be
framework blockers during IRC yesterday - JURA has raised the following
as a fault in the primeCacheFromResources function

and the following reopens the original "deadMansBlur" issue which was
found to have a faulty implementation on IE8 (and on investigation, in
real fact on every browser)

Please review these patches and commit them if it is deemed they really
are blockers for this release.
