Github just added a new feature that will allow you to notify someone that you want them to look at your pull request.
https://github.com/blog/821-mention-somebody-they-re-notified Basically you can use the notation @githubUserName, which will automatically send a notification to that person. This will be one useful technique for making sure someone is aware of your pull request and to indicate on the pull request who should be looking at it. I think it's still a good idea to send information to the fluid-list though, to ensure that the community as a whole has the opportunity to know about and see your pull request.
