Hey Video Player team,

Today was not my best day. Styling the Video Player proved a lot more complex
than I had hoped (developers are so optimistic!). After struggling with the
various half-finished styling branches that were floating out there I gave up
and started from scratch with small, incremental steps. Here's a quick update
of where I left it for tonight:

* the buttons in the controller are positioned as seen in the hifi mockups
* the controller is now floating over the video and is semi-transparent
* the scrubber takes up (almost) the full width of the video. I'll need to do a
lot more styling to the UI Slider tomorrow

The biggest issue at the moment is that the scrubber is now hovering over the
caption area. Does anyone know if Captionator can be told where to position its
captions? A bottom offset or something would be very useful.

This work is currently in my own fork, but I'd like to merge it into the demo
branch as soon as we've figured out how to move the captions around.

Tomorrow, I will:

1. style the buttons so that they look identical to the mockups.
2. try to change the UI Slider into the scrubber we've always wanted
3. add hover handlers for showing and hiding the controller
4. start to wrangle the issue of the menu buttons (captions, transcripts) and
the volume button

Favours I need:

1. Can someone look into positioning Captionator's captions in a sane way?
2. Joanna, can you slice up the images for all the buttons for me, if you
haven't already had a chance to do so? Or if you're super-busy, fire me a
layered PS document and I can do it. Up to you.
3. I really love good, working unit tests...

Colin
