Hi Colin, I’m not sure what’s the best way to approach this.
If the search filters are effected by preference sets, there will be consistency across all the preference setting tools we have - but this may limit a user to only certain types of content. If the search filters are not effected by a preference set, each search the user would specify the type of content they want. However, any resource a user selects will be customized according to their preferences. And where a preference is not available, the user would be notified. In these mockups, I was imagining this interaction . The availability of a preference notification is shown through a different icon state. Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks!
